Review summary

The ship was large, beautiful, clean and well kept. We had one problem. Our excursion in Nassau was cancelled. We were not made aware of the cancellation until we got back to our room the night before around 10:30pm. At this point there was no one at the excursion desk for us to talk to. We were told they would be on the dock at 8:30am. They were but the problem is that at that point many of the excursion were already sold out or it was too late. If an excursion is cancelled NCL should ensure there is someone you can talk with. Also, I understand things happen but as a guest you have to cancel 48hrs prior to an excursion but NCL was allowed to cancel our excursion in less than 24hrs with no penalty. They didn't offer anything to help ease the problem that we were in Nassau and had no excursion due to their issue.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Do not pay extra to eat at the Italian Restaurant. It is not worth the extra fee. For Italian the food is barely ok. Honestly you get better Italian food in the Garden cafe with much more variety.

Nicely decorated. We had an inside cabin for two adults and two children. The room was small but was expected

Ports of call

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Fantastic day. We did the hippo slide. Get there early and do the slide multiple times before it gets too crowded. The beach and water was amazing. Clear, calm and beautiful. Lots of fish to see too. NCL charges $30 a person for a chair and cover. This was more than what I paid for similar set up at Cocoa Beach. Why does NCL need to charge so much for a chair and cover? We got there early and they were already sold out. I recommend getting a picnic table (free) in shade near the shower.
Don't Miss: The water, barbecue.

Our excursion was cancelled so we had to make the best of what we had. The ship docks very close to town. You can walk to the shopping area. There are many, many, many taxi cabs who are negotiable. We took a cab ride ($4 per person) to the Atlantis where we took a tour of the aquarium and Atlantis. We then negotiated with a cab driver to give us a 2hour tour of Nassau. We paid $20 per person. The driver was a native. Was fun and entertaining. We recommend him. Lawrence A Dorsett. 242.535.5390

We went on the sun and fun excursion. This included a bus to Cocoa Beach and a pool with entertainment. I would recommend the cheaper shuttle to the beach and spend the whole time there. Paying extra for the pool and entertainment was not worth it. The pool was really, really warm. It is a heated pool and it was warmer than a bath.
Don't Miss: The beach, water and waves.

Pros: Food, Entertainment, Exceptionally clean and well kept ship

Cons: 1) One family pool for whole ship. By midday the pool is ridiculously crowded and unless you wake up early and go poolside you will not get a chair. 2) Italian restaurant. not worth the extra cost

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? Yes!
