Food and Dining

The FOOD. was boring in the buffet area. pretty much the exact same food every day. The 2 main dinning rooms' food was better. The ambiance of the Tsar's was so much better than the Azure . We did go to the Jazz brunch. That was exceptional. Everything about the dining experience there was wonderful. The dining times is a great idea. The Italian night in the garden cafe was a joke. mundane food. We did make a reservation but did not stay. The variety of food in the public restaurants (same) averaged between a 6 and 10 with 10 being the highest. I love fish. But the presentation of the fish was just so-so and most times mono color and over cooked.

Entertainment

The entertainment that I saw was very good. I am a morning person - usually up by 5 AM so the night life unless early - I don't make it to. THe guitarist was Wonderful and we did go see him most every night.

Service and Staff

I can say only that the staff that I met in the hallways did not have time to answer questions or even smile. Upon leaving the pool deck going to the garden cafe I was knocked into a wall by one of the staff going to his station at the grill outside and he did not stop to be sure I was OK. At the $1/inch station I was told that my piece would be ready in 2 hours. Came back and told no so at the collection site and come back in 4 more hours...they were very busy. The Black Lady at the pandora jewelry was WONDERFUL. When I had a problem getting my bracelete off - she took the time to show me how to do it. also she had great suggestions for making it look better.

The size was just my style, the layout was compact and the public areas were always clean

Our state room was what I expected. and always kept clean. I would not get a state room on a floor with a restaurant that is open 24/7 again...especially near the elevator at the back of the ship - my mistake.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

We have been to Florida several times but never made it to Cape Kennedy. This was worth the price of admission. My only comment is - this is really an adult excursion. Although there was a film at every stop - I saw some very bored kids on this tour. We had just enough time to see all the stops and several other sites. Having our own IMAX time just before boarding the bus was a super idea. One - no waste of time and (2) everyone was in the right spot to leave ontime.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

We were lucking. Got off on the first tender and took the last one back. Went parasailing and took lots of pics of other people on the boat while they were parasailing (they forgot their cameras) We were the only ones who had done it before and had just as good a time with your outfit. The BBQ was really good - especially the chili. - only bad thing was you ran out of fresh water to drink. The straw market was nice - higher in price than the one in Nassau the next day.

Having been there before, I knew there was not much there. THe straw market holds your interest if you have never been there or you want something in particular you know they sell and you want. Hopefully the new market will be air-conditioned.

Don't Miss: take your picture with Senor Frog

Pros: Great Ports and many days at sea

Cons: way too many kids on ship and the kids pool and adult pool where next to each other. The time of the cruise was of our making and will never travel just after high school or college graduation again.. These kids never sleep and forget that their voices travel at 3 AM
