Review summary

The ship was not as grand as other Norwegian ships I have been on. It was pretty basic and the layout was relatively easy to understand. The buffet was terrible. The food was never hot, poorly labeled and the setup was not conducive to many people eating at once. Seating was non-existant every time we went up there, so we decided to just go to the main dining rooms. The main dining rooms were decent. Service was sluggish in the morning and at lunch. Dinner service was ok. The specialty restaurants we went to were really good- word to the wise- make your reservations at the buffet area the day before you want to eat or else they'll all be full. Mama's fills up fast and you have to try that at least once!! The ports of call were 50/50. Cozumel was disappointing and I've been there twice before. The 'zip line' tour was AWFUL! Do NOT do this! You were brought out to a deserted area and they have 5 or 6 concrete pillars you can rock climb on to get to one, short, zipline. It was MOST disappointing! The 'snorkeling' was a roped off area you had to hike over sharp rocks to get to. ALL SET! Grand Cayman was nice- the tour of the island that included the turtle farm was very nice. The Reef and Wreck tour was not as expected- we were brought out to the area in front of where the ship docks and dumped off to snorkel. The fish were cool, but the shark was not so much. The "wreck' was not that interesting and not really worth seeing. I think there is better snorkeling on the side opposite of where the boats dock. Embarkation went smoothly- I think it took about an hour total. Disembarkation took almost 2 hours, so be prepared! Book a later flight if possible.

Too many springbreakers!! There wasn't a whole lot besides bingo, art auctions and drink tastings.

Some folks were really friendly, others just ignored you.

We had a balcony room, mid ship, port side. It was quiet and private but would not be comfortable for the 3-4 it 'could' sleep. Much better for 2!

Beautiful! People were really friendly and all spoke English.
Don't Miss: Margaritaville! Terrific drinks! Turtle Farm, Stingray City!

Cozumel, Mexico

As stated in the main review, not my favorite. Good place to go shopping and get good deals though!

Pros: Specialty restaurants were great! (Cagney's, Mama's, and Teppanyaki)

Cons: BUFFET! Poorly organized and just ALWAYS full (food was less than poor).
