Norwegian Jewel

10 Night Canada & New England (New York Roundtrip)

Sail date: October 18, 2008

Ship: Norwegian Jewel

Cabin type: Inside

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

The ship was beautiful, clean with nice art. The weather was cool so when out to sea it seemed crowded with not enough to do or space. The main dining rooms were crowded with long lines even at the buffet. There were about six speciality restarants that cost extra that were not crowded from $10 each for Mexican or Chinese food to $20 each for steak. The cabin was very clean and the room stewart made adorable towel animals daily. The ports were intersting and overal we had a wonderful time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Some of the food was excellant, most was average.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
They had outstanding music, dancing and stage shows

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The staff was pleasant but tired and over worked due to the extra labor involved due to the antiseptic problem on the prior cruise and having to spray everybody all the time.

Quebec City, Quebec

5 out of 5
The most beautiful city I have ever seen.
Don't Miss: walk into town and it's 400 year old buildings and streets

Pros: The evening shows were some of the best ship shows for acrobatics & dance

Cons: Long lines for meals due to antiseptic problems on the prior cruise.
