Review summary

We sailed on the Norwegian Jade which is a sister ship to other ships we've been on. The size of the ship is quite manageable - not too big or too small. One of the features we really enjoy is the spa at the front of the boat and were happy to see that NCL now offers a deal if a couple signs up for the week. For $198 we had full access to the saunas, pools, showers, etc...all of which had wonderful ocean views. Overall the ship was clean and orderly and easy to get around. There were plenty of dining options and bar venues as well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the main dining rooms\, each of which had a different atmosphere although shared the same menu. The buffet was a bit hectic but options were abundant and the outside buffet in the rear of the ship was a great place to enjoy the scenery and fresh air. We only ate at one of the specialty restaurants but really enjoyed the food.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We were a tad disappointed that there was no entertainment in the Star Bar as we had enjoyed on the Norwegian Gem. Otherwise\, the entertainment options were good.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We upgraded to a balcony and were happy to have the outdoor space to enjoy the scenery on the cruise. The room was typical of staterooms and very adequate for our needs.

Pros: itinerary was great; cruise director was fantastic

Cons: stateroom staff not as friendly as before

Recommends Norwegian Jade? Yes!
