Review summary

While dining room service being available for all 3 meals on sea days was nice, the many things for additional fees were a turnoff. There could have been more included activities and flat fee cover charge eateries.

Fun experience with $18 cover charge that includes 2 strong vodka drinks and photos with your phone by the NCL team member. I wish there was a reduced fee to not have a drink and just go in, but it was nice and they had a non alcoholic choice for non-drinkers and kids to be able to experience this "cool" venue as well.

The standard stadium layout made it seem very crowded and did not facilitate easy entry and exit of rows or viewing of the stage

All dining room staff was amazing and super attentive. Allowed me to order multiple items of each course to sample. The entertainment in the Tropicana Room while dining was much better received by me than as a standalone performance in the theater (Burn the Floor)

Ship Quality

It was clean and well kept Erich I expected since it only about 5 years old? The placement of the Noodle Bar near the smokey casino was a fail as it should be away from the stench and a larger venue overall for guests to enjoy.

Cabin / Stateroom

Balcony was one of the smallest I've ever had, but we appreciated it anyway to have natural light in a private space. There were no drawers which I am used to having on the other cruise lines. Packing cubes will come in handy to keep things organized. Jason, our steward did a great job tidying up twice a day. The shower with a door was lovely .

Ship tip

Use packing cubes and beware of upgrades because although the balcony was nice, being at the very back of the ship on deck 14 had us hearing all the things from the Garden Cafe above us and trembling and ship inner workings that are housed at the rear of the ship.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

No pool. $45 for clam shell, $25 for umbrella (included for free on Coco Cay by RCCL). Another place where I felt nickeled and dimed by NCL.

Disembarkation

Having to shuttle back to my car despite paying a premium to park at the port was very inconvenient and disappointing. This may have been beyond NCL control due to the Disney Wish and Fantasy returning at the same time as our ship.
