Review summary

Overall this might have been one of the best solo trips I’ve ever taken. I met lots of new friends, had a blast every day, the staff were all INCREDIBLE, the ship was clean, food was amazing, pool deck was never too crowded and drinks were flowing thanks to the attentive staff. Gem is a smaller ship than the ones I’d been on before, and yet I still don’t know that I got to see everything or try all the bars and restaurants. Embarkation and disembarkation were both a breeze. The ports were fantastic - being the first cruise passengers since Covid at both St. Tomas and Great Stirrup Cay was wonderful - happy to bring tourism back to the islands. I can’t recommend this experience enough.

Quick and easy testing process, smooth check-in and boarding went very quickly once they started calling groups. Miami port is very nice!

Food and drink were amazing, as always on NCL.

Onboard Activities

I did use the fitness center several days, it was never crowded and conveniently close to the spa which I also frequented daily. The pool deck was never too crowded, chairs could be found at most any time of day.

Entertainment

Blazing Boots was absolutely incredible. I also enjoyed the comedian they had on board. Angel the singer/musician was also wonderful and so talented.

Disembarkation

Might be the quickest disembarkation experience on earth. I didn’t wait any time at all getting off the ship and there was no line. They called the color coded tags earlier than the scheduled time because of how quickly the process went.
