Review summary

Crew is very polite and helpful. Been on the Gem twice since it was leaving out of NYC but only downside was the demographic. First time, we had a hard time meeting other passengers in our age range and the second was in peak season and there were a thousand unsupervised kids running around; knocking on doors in the middle of night and creating all sorts of chaos pool side or at the buffet. Captain had to make an announcement to parents because of so many complaints. I saw crew members on more than one occasion try to keep the peace calmly. Nonetheless, we are positive cruisers so we found things we enjoyed and still had a blast. Food was fantastic and they had a variety of entertainment options.
