Review summary

The Gem is my fav so far... I have sailed her 3 times and have a 4th booked.. crew is always good and very personable... food had always been very good ... and excellent in the pay restaurants which are known to be even better... but honestly I am just as happy with the complimentary restaurants... entertainment is also very good ... but I would have liked more live music out by the pool... shows are very entertaining... our fav spots are the Spinaker Lounge for the fun shows.. the great outdoors which is the back of the ship eating area through the buffet... try the pretzel rolls ...don't forget your soft serve too!! Maltings was our fav bar where we would meet each night before or after dinner and catch Leo playing in Bar City ... Ship was very clean!! I love this Jewel class of ships over the mega ship ... the Gem is more than enough ship for us... and I love sailing out of NY ... a bit rocky around the Carolinas but nothing Dramamine doesn't take care of !!! Looking forward to my next NCL trip ... I have sailed NCL 6 times and NEVER disappointed!!
