I did not enjoy the Escape as much as the Encore. Very different experiences. This being my second cruise with NCL I now know a little bit more about what I enjoy and don’t enjoy. I do like NCL and will cruise with them again just not on this ship.

My favorite venue was the District Brew House. Enjoyed the piano man and the beer on tap. The supper club was really good and so was Choir of Man.

This ship did smell of smoke in many areas! Also, this ship does not have an observation area for people to lounge in. And I felt the outdoor spaces were way more crowded on this ship. I did not enjoy this ship as much as I enjoyed the Encore.

I liked the solo cabin and solo lounge on the Encore better.
Ship tip
Spice H2O was very crowed as well as the main pool deck. I regret not purchasing the Vibe Beach Club, and will do going forward. I purchased it on the Encore and it was well worth it. All the outdoor areas were always crowded on this ship, even the waterfront. I spent very little time outside on this cruise unlike my experience on the Encore.
We reserved a clamshell for the day, as well as two other couples I was traveling with. When we arrived to the island they did not have any clamshells left. They made us walk back and forth to the different locations to see if they had availability until finally we had to request to speak to a manager. We then had to wait just for them to give us one umbrella to share amongst the 5 of us and then we had to drag the lounge chairs up to the umbrella. They did give us our money back but we reserved and paid for the clamshells to avoid having to worry about finding chairs. I will reserve a cabana next time or stay on ship. It was beautiful. Water was clear and blue. But lines for food and drink were ridiculous and I did not eat on island.
We did the River Tubing Safari and it was wonderful!! However, if you suffer from neck problems you may not want to do this excursion as it is long and requires you to wear a helmet and your neck is in an awkward position for awhile as you are sitting upright in a tube. But it was amazing!
