As good as possible. As an older lady, it was still a lot of walking.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Specialty restaurants were terrific. MDR was good. Didn't visit buffer. Really liked O'Sheehan's. Really enjoyed room service breakfast on port days. Process for reserving specialty restaurants needs to improve. It's a madhouse trying to get them once onboard.

Cagney's Steakhouse

5 out of 5

Best of the specialty restaurants. Everything was excellent, especially the steak. Drinks arrived promptly.

O'Sheehan's Bar and Grill

5 out of 5

Loved this place! Great breakfast and lunch. Hot dogs were great.

Bayamo by Ocean Blue

5 out of 5

The food was excellent, especially the sea bass. Service very good. Highly recommend.

Teppanyaki

5 out of 5

It was great but a little too loud.

Sugarcane Mojito Bar

5 out of 5

Loved the pineapple coconut mojito. It was peaceful here and so close to the waterfront.

Room Service

5 out of 5

Loved this option for excursion days. $5 price for cabin is very good. Loved sitting on the balcony having breakfast. Every order on time and as ordered.

Moderno Churrascaria

5 out of 5

Excellent food and service. Highly recommend.

Atrium Café

1 out of 5

The Atrium was so noisy that the coffee bar is stuck off in the corner. Had the coffee pkg but never got to the cafe.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I'm not much for onboard activities. Just did one show. Overall the Atrium is way too noisy. Can't even hear the ship announcements.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room Steward Leo was terrific. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Cleanliness was fine. The Atrium bar and the coffee bar need to be somewhere more accessible than in such a noisy location. Never even made it to the coffee bar because of this. I always hear that Carnival is the party ship, but the Escape was more so. Closing part of the Waterfront for maint or cleaning kept us from using it one day.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cleanliness A+. Size, a little tight. Closet hard to access. Carnival closets are just inside the cabin door and easily accessible. Having to run cords for bedside CPAP across the room is creates a tripping hazard.

Ship tip

You will feel motion in an aft cabin.

Ports of call

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas Did not visit port

Nothing to do except NCL stuff. I cruise for the excursions.

Falmouth, Jamaica

4 out of 5
Port was very clean. Unhappy that some of us had our Ocho Rios falls excursion cancelled while others were not and they were able to go at the same price. Thank goodness! Found a pedicab. I never could have walked to the bus area.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Port was clean. Distillery tour was good.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Thank goodness for the pedicabs! Our excursion around the island began with our tour guide loosing us in the shopping mall. Didn't keep his group together. Overall, the stops on this tour, except at the bee sanctuary were rushed. Sitting in the back of the bus, the engine noise was so loud I couldn't hear anything the tour guide was telling us.

Port Canaveral, Florida

No excursion. Exited the ship, straight to bus.

Disembarkation

Didn't know what order the colors were exiting. A lot of walking for this older lady and no place to stop and catch your breath. in. That would have been helpful.
