Review summary

NCL remains my best choice for the moment, but I have done three this year and gradually NCL costs on the quality of the shows and the animation in general. It also cuts down on the quality and quantity and choice of meals. it also cuts waiter service at the swimming pool, bars and the performance hall. As for the Ncl escape I found it poorly designed, it lacks space in several places. But despite all that I am still ready to give them my first choice of company. If it had been my first I'm sure I would have loved it, but over the years I realize that you pay more for less. THANKS

Great review. So true on the cutbacks.

Spot on!! I share your opinion on the decline of entertainment and the obvious cost cutting by NCL with decreasing staffing numbers, and food choices. It's apparent to avid cruisers that we are paying more for less. 2 great examples are eliminating evening/turn down service and the singers in the supper club singing to backing tracks instead of a band. Our room steward was complaining about his work load. Seems they are giving him twice the rooms but made up for it by eliminating evening service. Yet we still pay the same and are expected to tip the same while getting less. Evening service and towel animals aren't a necessity but they are little touches that made us choose cruising over a "normal" vacation. It made cruising feel special and more personal.
