Review summary

I have been on the Gem twice and the Jewel once and raved about the food, shows, staff, and everything to friends & family. So sad that this trip was subpar at best.

The food was not nearly as good as I had on other Norwegian cruises. The same menu for the Manhatten Room, Taste & Savor was boring. Was hoping for several more different entrees

Other Norwegian cruises I've been on had great entertainment, every night. This cruise had the same show several nights. We had more entertainment in the Atrium each night, but we could not get seats, except for one night.

Ship tip

Ship is too large, too many people waiting extremely long times for elevators. We had to handicapped people in our group, stairs were not an option. Also could never get in the pool or hot tubs. The same people hogged the hot tubs every day, and the same younger crowd hung around the pool all day. The only time we got our suits wet was when we went to Horseshoe Bay.
