I've cruised over 20 times on Carnival, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. I liked them all better than Norwegian although the drink package was nice. Overall I consider this cruise a giant waste of money.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
They messed up our names which cost 3 hours and 3 trips to guest services to fix. And no apology for their mistake.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Service was slow and the food wasn't great.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Only one good water slide. Two were so fast there was never a line. One had bumps all the way down that left red Mark's on every person who went down. The ropes course needed repairs. Mini golf was small. They squeezed it in to a very small space. Pools were small and crowded.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
After Midnight was boring. Choir of Man was fantastic. Other popular shows were held in the atrium instead of the theater leaving many people standing or sitting on the floor to watch.
Children's Programs
My son didn't participate.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Our room steward was fantastic. One of the best we've ever had and we been on over 20 cruises. The Garden cafe staff were slow. The bartenders were over worked. They needed more working the busy bars.
Ship Quality

Only 2 elevator banks on a ship this big left us waiting often. No storage space in cabins. No light on balcony. Beds are very uncomfortable. Public restrooms were constantly a mess.
Cabin / Stateroom

The bed was horrible. Sagged in the middle of each side and hard as a rock. Closet is on the side of the little sitting area and difficult to get in to. Closet is small. Overall, not enough storage space.
Ship tip
Don't waste your money until it travels to different ports. Florida and the Bahamas do not make for a good trip.
Went to Blue Lagoon island and did sting ray encounter. Nice but very expensive. We also did Atlantis hotel Dolphin experience and waterpark day pass. Extremely overpriced. Not worth even half the cost.
Little information provided on last day. Getting off the ship was standing on one long line where we walked the length of the ship 3 times. Poorly run.
Judging by your reviews, nothing made you happy on this trip. I agree that itinerary matters!!! We sailed on the Escape last September to Canada/New England and loved every minute. I didn’t think NCL was any more expensive than Carnival, Royal or Princess. Actually, I think RC is the most expensive out of the 4 but to each their own. Hope you have better luck on your next trip!
We did the same cruise a few years ago on carnival and it was crappy as well. We went to Bermuda last year and had a fabulous time on the Escape and on shore. Where you cruise to makes a big difference
