Review summary

Love cruising. LOve NCL...Just would never go on a large ship like this again. Way to big, and these days unfortunately they nickel and dime you to much. I had the liquor package, I would expect it to include the coffee package. Very disappointed in paying for cappuccino every day. Unlike Celebrity it was all included.

Embarkation

I have been on 50+ cruises in my lifetime..I never had to wait 1 1/2 hours before boarding.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room to crowded, very noisy and the first night the wait was ridiculous. The other 2 dining rooms always had long lines. Specialty restaurants were better because no waiting, and delicious food. Buffet was like a stampede of people.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
pools impossible to get a seat so you had to walk around or go on higher decks for a chair.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Excellent comedians. Good magic show and ventriloquist. Only problem is you need reservations for everything.

Children's Programs

kids are grown

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Room steward Mark was very good and helpful. Waiter and Waiters work extremely hard. They are definitely understaffed.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Beautiful ship, very nice and clean. I can't believe that on a ship this size they only had to elevator banks. Front and back. I like to stay mid ship to be near center, I was never told that there was no mid ship stairs or elevators. Very poor design. This ship is tremendous and walking all the way to the back or the front is ridiculous

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very clean. Love the big bathroom so it was worth the extra money. My sons pull out couch was very uncomfortable with the thin mattress. I called guest services the next day and the brought a nice thick mattress and it was so much better.

Ship tip

I hope you like a gigantic ship. If you travel when kids are out of school be prepared to have 5400 guests and at least 2000 kids running around.

Ports of call

New York, New York Did not visit port

I live in NY

Port Canaveral, Florida

Nothing special the ship arrived at 1:00 so there was no time to do Disney. I was lucky I had family who met us and we had a nice day with them

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

the tenders could not take us to the port due to weather. Very disappointing.

Disembarkation

This was the first time we decided to walk off with out luggage. We couldn't bear to think of 5400 guests scrambling around for luggage. We were off immediately.

We leave March 17, hoping for good weather but wondering if you would have dailies to plan our week, thanks.
