Review summary

Both ships have a lot to offer but I feel the Anthem was a better choice because of the food, the beautiful adult area, and the cost of the tours being more reasonable.

On Anthem we put our security picture and credit card info in before the sail date. This had to be done at check in for the Escape. Took more time.

Dining rooms on both ships very nice but the food was much better on the Anthem. Except the Escape had more chocolate desserts! Wish Escape had some dress code for the dining rooms. People came dressed in tee shirts, gym shorts, and hats. The buffet is available if you want to dress like that. Takes away from the elegance of the dining room.

Ship tip

The location of a smoking area on the Escape is right next to the walking/jogging track. Not a good idea when you're trying to do something healthy. Also, the Atrium on the Escape always had a smoky smell. Not pleasant. Especially since there are a number of restaurants in the area.
