Review summary

Great cruise, ship, staterooms and common areas. Bermuda was amazing and everyone was so very friendly! And the specialty restaurants were AWESOME - Food Republic, Moderno, Teppanyaki, and Bayamo. Soft serve ice cream from the buffet was another late evening favorite! Try to make time for Fun Time Golf, it was pretty challenging and gorgeous views! Suggestions - music in staterooms - should slow down port info on room tv, hard to read it went by so fast-should sell more sundries and magazines and port guidebooks- fan rentals would be great for those of us who need the white noise to sleep!

Pretty good considering the number of people

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
You must visit Food Republic, Bayamo, Teppanyaki, Moderno. And the buffet food was surprisingly good as well, although we would always prefer to avoid the crowds. Decent wines.

Moderno Churrascaria

5 out of 5

We go to alot of rodizio restaurants but this was the absolute best ever. Loved the offerings, did not feel rushed.

O'Sheehan's Bar and Grill

4 out of 5

Could use a slightly expanded menu but overall not bad for a 24/7 venue

Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville

5 out of 5

Wonderful burger and fries. Wait staff super friendly, remembered what we drank the day before (what??) and the entertainment was worth sitting around to listen to as well. Relaxing on the water vibe - everything you imagine Margaritaville to be!

The Manhattan Room

4 out of 5

Loved the venue, the entertainment was average but unobtrusive to that was a plus! The menu could have been a bit more inspired but overall, not bad. Staff was friendly and efficient. Coffee was always late coming to the table, what's up with that?

District Brew House

5 out of 5

So very much fun and the craft beer list was extensive! You can get wine, drinks and Angry Orchard hard cider here as well. The entertainment and staff made it THE PLACE TO BE

Teppanyaki

5 out of 5

Some of the best food of this type I have ever had. Super fresh fish, the rice was copious and the salad and soup were great. Could have used a few more veggies but that's just me!

Bayamo by Ocean Blue

5 out of 5

The seafood was outstanding, service the same! Something for everyone, even those who do not enjoy seafood. Small and intimate.

Food Republic

5 out of 5

All I can say is WOW - this might be some of the best food I have had on sea or land! And I loved the concept of ordering items on a touchscreen. Service was quick.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The pool area was very well laid out. However the hot tub was dirty and should have been cleaned more regularly. Did not have time to visit the spa or fitness center but did play mini golf

Entertainment

4 out of 5

Headliners Comedy Club

5 out of 5

Comedy shows were standard but the Howl at the Moon Dueling Pianos was the BEST. I loved the requests-only format. Very talented trio and they involved everyone in the crowd as well. A fun night. Wish we had done this earlier in the cruise - we would have returned a few more times.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
In particular, the staff at the Robert Mondavi wine bar were interesting and friendly, as were all the staff we met in the lounges and restaurants.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great - barely noticed the other 4500 passengers - except at the buffet.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

Ship tip

Investigate what is available onboard long before your cruise. And book your restaurants in advance whenever possible. The library is a great quiet space for reading - and they have daily crossword puzzles, trivia games and Sudoku for those so inclined.

Ports of call

New York, New York Did not visit port

We go to NYC all the time so we did not spend time at this port

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Take the Glass Bottom Boat tour - Paul and Slim were knowledgeable about the waters and sea life, as well as local places of interest!

The 5 stars are for the workers. Most passengers dont understand or maybe dont care that the majority of the workers are from 3rd world countries. Because the cruise ships are registered outside of the USA they, the cruise companies, dont have to follow ANY labor laws. These poor workers dont know what overtime pay means even though 90% work well over 60-70 hours a week. Im not saying not to cruise, what i am saying is dont treat the workers like helpvand remember you are no better than they are... are for goodness sake tip them and not just say u gave in the service fee.
