We enjoyed ourselves but would like to see Norwegian make some improvements.

Food and Dining

The food in the complimentary buffet was pretty good for the most part but I must admit that the desserts were rather disappointing. The menus in the two complimentary sit down table service restaurants Taste and Savor were almost identical so I don’t quite understand the purpose of that. Why have two restaurants with the same menus. We ate at 2 specialty restaurants, Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki's and both had excellent service and excellent food. All of of the alcoholic beverages and cocktails we had were very good on the cruise.
Onboard Activities

I would like to give a better rating but my 29 year old daughter was injured on the water slide where you don’t sit in an inner tube, you just stand there and the floor drops out from underneath of you. Well she rode the green one and and it ripped a hole through her bathing suit bottoms and her tailbone! Good thing she brought more than one bathing suit with her on the cruise but the poor thing was cut and bleeding and had to sit on a folded up beach towel when we were by the pool or on the beach because of her injured tailbone. All we can figure is that there must have been a protruding screw or something that did the damage.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The comedy club was pretty good however the PG rated show and the adult version were exactly the same show, almost verbatim, except for a few curse words thrown in to the adult version. The music on the cruise was very good. We enjoyed the different genres. The popular shows are tough to get into so you need to make reservations for those shows as soon as you step on board.
Children's Programs
We weren’t traveling with any children
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Our room steward was fabulous. The majority of our wait staff were very good.
We were treated rudely and unprofessionally by some staff at the excursions desk and guest services after we had just learned (at 7pm the evening before) that our snorkeling part of our excursion on Grand Cayman was canceled “due to high winds”. I know NCL has nothing to do with that but we didn’t appreciate the way they treated us or the way they handled our notification of the cancellation.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Overall the ship was amazing but some of the public restrooms needed to be kept better.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was roomier than I expected and we enjoyed the balcony. Our room steward always kept our cabin in tip top shape for us.
Ship tip
Book any shows you want to see the minute you get on board
Grand Cayman was a beautiful port. We did not do an excursion because it had gotten canceled “due to high winds”. I would just like to say that it wasn’t windy that day. We just ended up taking a cab to one of the public beaches for a few hours.
