I have been on many vacations but never a cruise.
I think the Norwegian was perfect for me ...I like a few kids around but I don’t want to be inundated with them !!
The crowd was great mix of young and old and there were a lot of lovely people on the ship to help ..great service.. great staff ..great food ..wonderful drinks !!! my room was nice but I finally got to relax after a hard year at work

I have a bad knee and bad hip so I used customer help to get a scooter!! it was right there at the port/ I zoomed up the ramps and away we went!!!

Oh Lordy!!! Did I ever ate a ton of food loved to the Garden Café for breakfast...loved loved 0’Sheenans-ate the Bangers and Mash a Lot!! Prime Rib to die for!!
Tempanyaki was so good!
The way to go is all inclusive with the drinks for sure!!! Best Bloody Marys and “Painkillers”!!!! Wines were wonderful and One of our party was really enjoying all the different selections of beer!

We have a Shoguns here at home ...it is same kind of grill show thing but nothing like Teppanyaki...the food was 10 times better!!!when I saw the big pile of garlic they were going to put in the mix I knew we were in for something special ....the sauces were excellent!!!

I used the pool! My knee is so jacked up I couldn’t do much else ...but the pool was beautiful/ the water was so nice! The amenities were excellent with a bar right by the great big screen TV going with the movie was wonderful!!!

We had a blast at the casino!!! a few of us actually walked away with some money!!
The reel machines were not as fun /the interactive ones are the ones we all love but a great selection, not too smoky either!! only complaint was nobody ever brought drinks around! But with the excellent selection of bars around no need: we just went over and got our own drinks!! Fun!!

Our room steward Tek was The absolute best !!!
The room was spotless when he was done, he helped us get towels and blankets if we needed them / just perfect!
I had a scooter I had to ride because of my knee and he helped me get the cleaning carts out of the way with a big old smile ! The entire cleaning staff and crew were so nice.
the only person I can say was not nice was one of the head waiters yelling at one of the waitresses at O’Sheenans one busy night.. that was awful.... But the place was packed and I can see were tensions were growing

It’s surprisingly bigger than I thought ..when I first saw it looked very tiny and I felt very claustrophobic, but I got used to it as we put our stuff away and it got to be very cozy and homey!
There is definitely no wasted space and there is plenty of storage for the two of us ...any more people than that would be just too much but we did fine
Ship tip
Pack light!! you don’t need a whole lot of stuff ...the freestyle cruising seems to be the way to go ....you don’t need a lot of fancy clothes or shoes.
Be sure to get the unlimited drinks if you like to have cocktails they are wonderful and I would highly suggest doing one of the mail packages !
Oh and be sure to sign up for the Norwegian onboard Wi-Fi to talk to each other.
If you have any issues walking get a scooter !
Be ready for some fees to be tacked onto the room as you disembark that you would not probably be prepared for
Had a wonderful lady take us around and rickety oh ford we got to visit the rum factory in hell we saw the beaches in the houses it was beautiful I would’ve loved on the beach but number you want to do that I would definitely come back to the Grand Cayman’s

Yes, NCL has a nice mix of passengers. Right in between the extremes of Disney and Princess. However, I've cruised on those lines as well and are great fun.
What a great experience and attitude..... especially jumping into the deep end with a mega ship and the potential to be overwhelmed.... welcome to cruising and I hope you have many more to come!!
