Review summary

This was my 30th cruise with NCL. I would not come back if I did not like the cruise line. Nice to see staff members again and again. In some cases, many employees have almost become like family. This cruise, however, was very disappointing because of the accommodation.

We ate in the Haven restaurant most of the time . It's a quiet place with a relaxed atmosphere. The specialty restaurants are too crowded and noisy. One complaint: in 13 days, the Haven restaurant did no change the menu once, neither for lunch nor for dinner except for some ice cold exotic soup creations.

We had no heat for three days and, after that, hardly any control over the four available thermostats. Mechanics tried to solve the problem almost every day without success. Needless to say that we both caught cold. Some furniture in the living room is oddly placed. A large TV screen blocks the view right in front of the panorama window. When you watch TV sitting on the sofa, you have to twist your head in 90 degree angle. Very uncomfortable! The same TV/ Panorama widow problem is repeated in the bedroom where it also blocks the view. The bathroom is very spacious and probably very nice when it is heated. For some unknown reason, the toilet had no door! There used to be a door, but it was taken off, nobody explained why. The bedroom was spacious, the bed very comfortable.
