Review summary

The first glimpse of the ship tells you this has to be fun. We loved the theater, the cabin (we were inside for 7 day Med and Spa Suite for crossing) Both stewards were excellent. We loved the dancing in the Manhatten Dining. The orchestra there is top notch for ballroom dancers. The dance under the stars was wonderful. The Spa was great. The pool, warming lounges, the massages, etc. We enjoyed all the ports. Marsailles is definitely worthwhile if you take an excursion. We did Avignon and Les Baux. The sites were breathtaking, one of the highlights of the trip. The Twice as Nice late night music in the atrium was great. The captain did an excellent job of keeping everyone informed. Le Bistro is a great French restaurant. The wines on board were extensive. We toasted each evening to the completion of \"another perfect day.\" The Epic adventure was the trip of a lifetime. We were onboard 20 days and never had a bad moment.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We liked all the restaurants. I don't think Cagney's is necessary because good steaks are available in Manhatten but that is a personal preference. The buffet was great for meals and snacks. I particularly enjoyed some of the vegetable/fruit pairings with the entrees. This isn't dull cruise fooed. Le Bistro is well worth the money. The additional charge items on their menu are scrumptuous\, however\, I think the charge could be lowered to something less per couple.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We loved most of the entertainment. Again\, Headliners' is not a good venue. We would also liked more space for dancing. The dining room puts two big round tables on the dance floor limiting space but that is logistics. The orchestra still provides a first class experience. Blue Man\, Legions\, the Beattle show\, the magician were all awesome. Brenda Cochran's music was so nice.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
EVERYONE WE DEALT WITH WAS WONDERFUL. First class cabin stewards\, waiters\, butler. The box office staff will do anthing to help you see all the entertainment possible. The dining room wait staff do everything they can to make your meal enjoyable.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is arranged well and easy to get from one place to another. It was always clean\, well lit and cheerful. The staff clearly loves this ship. Their enthusiasm and courtesy make traveling with them a pleasure.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Like everyone else\, I find the sliding opaque plastic door for the toilet a bit disconcerting. Not much privacy. The inside cabin was spacious for its type. We had good storage/closet space. It was fine for the 7 day Med. trip because we were out on excursionn every day. There are lots of private places on the ship to relax outside the cabin. Many areas with big easy chairs\, etc to go sit\, read\, etc if you don't want to stay inside. We had the Spa Suite for the Atlantic crossing. It was beautiful\, we loved the Jacuzzi in the room. The big round bed was very comfortable as was the inside cabin. The service in the Spa Suite was beyond great.

Pros: The ship and crew were wonderful. This was our 12th cruise. The EPIC was so much fun the 13 day crossing went by very quickly. The entertainment was great. The food was wonderful\, I highly recommend the Spa or Haven Suites are worth the price. Pvt dining was great

Cons: Headliners venue for entertainment. Room is small\, low ceiling\, not much chance for good view of the stage.
