Review summary

Not happy with over-all ship to passenger communications

Food and Dining

Lacking in variety. Same menus over and over . Garden room offered variety and friendly service. Manhattan Room menu was stagnant but service was very good. did not care for open seating. Previous Cruises on another line gave us an opportunity to get to know our table mates which we frequently saw on the various decks throughout the cruise.

Entertainment

There was no welcoming aboard party that we were made aware of. Therefore\, we depended upon the daily newsletters to learn of activities. By that time all the free shows(Blueman Group\, etc) were booked up so we were not able to see any of them.

Service and Staff

Most of the crew were very friendly and attempted to assist us with our questions. Many had difficulty with english as a second language so there were times that more than one or two people had to be asked to help us resolve our questions.

Cabin / Stateroom

We have traveled using inside cabins in past. Our stateroom (9128) was very small. Shower and comode usually in same unit leaving aditional room for chairs or small couch. We had no where to sit to watch TV unless we laid on the bed. This created a problem as your ship was equiped with plasma TVs which require straight on-line viewing. However\, the TVs were placed in an elevated position thus making viewing difficult. Our only othere place to sit was a single stool in front of the sink.Additionally\, the Captain's announcements could not be heard in the staterooms. Nor could they be understood well up on deck as not all the music mircophones and amps were disengaged.
