Great short cruise for my mom and I for Mother’s Day. A cruise is what you make it, and we made the best of it.

This is our home port, so we are used to it. We got through security and check in in about 35 minutes. Not too bad.

We did not do any specialty dining. Just the 3 MDRs, The Local, buffet and The Observation Lounge. All food was great. We didn’t have a meal we didn’t enjoy
Onboard Activities

It was cold and rainy for this cruise. But that’s to be expected. So we decided just to watch the go carts and the people in the pools on cold days

Choir of Man was excellent. Magician and comedians were great. Did bingo and deal or no deal. The remaining time lacked a little. But this is to be expected on a repositioning cruise

Everyone was wonderful. Ship was not at capacity so everyone had a little more time to chat.

Cabin / Stateroom

This was an assigned cabin. Yes, it was at the end of the hall, but we prefer aft cabins anyway. I could not believe the size of the balcony. It was double the length of other balconies. My only complaint with this cabin, and the cruise, was the bed. It was like sleeping on a table top. Too hard and I rarely slept. I understood why people were asleep on the couches in the observation lounge. Both NCL cruises I’ve done, the mattress was too hard. So maybe it’s an NCL thing
