We had a great time!! Loved the entertainment, pool and our first balcony cabin. The overall vibe from passengers wasn’t good as a lot were from a cancelled cruise and they had issues getting to the ship, so listening to them was a little disheartening. Other than that, it was a great trip and I’d do it again in a heartbeat!!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was a little slow, but nothing bad. It did go pretty smooth!! Love the terminal, very easy to navigate. Got a little lost getting to the correct terminal, but being that it was my first time there, I chalked it up to novice.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Took my 8yo grand daughter so we didn’t eat anywhere but the buffet. It was fabulous as I expect nothing less on Norwegian. Ice cream was always working!! 😜
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The activities were great. My grand daughter won 4 of the public games they had in the Atrium. She was in heaven!! Pool was good. As I have never been in a pool on a ship (other than the spa pools) I was not aware they mixed sea water. Take goggles for the little ones or yourself if this may bother you. We purchased a set on our first port so we were good. The life guards to have quite a few pairs but having your own would be ideal.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
The kids under 13 didn’t have their respective venues open so I can’t comment on the Splash Academy. My grand daughter was disappointed she couldn’t go, but we still had fun.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As usual Norwegian doesn’t disappoint in service and staffing. Every crew member we encountered was very nice knowledgeable and very accommodating. Our cabin steward, Rodel, was amazing and took care of us!! Wait staff were on the ball in in the buffet, as we only ate there.
Ship Quality

Again Norwegian not disappointing, the ship always seemed clean and put together nicely. Always someone cleaning somewhere.
Cabin / Stateroom

First time in a balcony so it was treat to have it. Good amount of space for us. Grand daughter didn’t like the sofa bed so there’s that. The main bed was comfy and everything was easy or manageable in the cabin. Plenty of pillows. Had just a shower, so I was happy as I prefer that. No shower curtain it has a door, a plus. Utilized the safe throughout the trip, no issues. Closet space is very spacious, with lots of storage throughout. Room wasn’t real cold, so I was glad I packed a fan. It wasn’t hot, but need that air circulation. Rodel did a great job of keeping our room clean and turned down at night. TV had same shows but no big deal as we only watched at night going to bed or in the morning to see the channel of the Captains view. I love the navigation channel to see where we were and such stuff. Room service was great! We did the complimentary breakfast with add one and it was no issue. Everything was hot, if need be or cold.
Ship tip
Not really a complaint, but it kinda is for a certain kind of people. The smoking area on deck 16 is not very accommodating. Every time someone would bring in a chair or something to sit on the crew would take it away. They need to install benches or at least get something to sit on. Deck 8 had an enclosed smoking area with PLENTY of seating.
Through no fault of Norwegian we could not stop because winds were too high for us to tender. You would think there would be a dock, but I did hear there are plans of a dock in the next couple years, just what I heard.
We didn’t go anywhere here, but the port is very nice and clean. Not real expensive but almost to be expected. They had several macaws you could see and probably take pics with but we didn’t. We purchased a few things then got back on the ship.
With the full capacity on this trip embarking was very easy. Found our bags very easily, no customs and a very good line, but it moved pretty smooth. It’s a little bit of a life deal to get through incoming traffic and people to the parking area, but we made it.
