We just needed to get away. We liked the dawn even though I got covid on our last trip! But its close to us and easy to get around on. Staff is very good too.

Very attentive, and getting better after covid interruption
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

The foid options are phenomenal...but...almost everything is made with alcohol as a sauce base or marinade. So limits children (ok), alcoholics (not so great), and like me, allergic to alcohol, really disappointing. On any menu at least 1/2 or more of the items were unavailable including desserts.
Onboard Activities

Lets face it, covid interruptus is leaving everyone with limited entertainment. Bingo is way over priced, lounge singers ok, stardust enteryainment so so.. BUT... staff games were great! Thank goodness Jodie and team kept everyone ablecto do something.

This is about Effy and watches. They sold me a watch that is warranted but it had slready broken by the time i got home. Now i have to deal with Tissot...really bad experience.

Mediocre I'm sad to say. But keep in mind, covid interrupted everyone.

Ship Quality

The layout is pretty good...but if you've paid for a room on the 12th floor or 11th under the pool deck, be prepared to be awakened every night at 330 and again at 5am... they clean and put out lounge chairs while stomping up and down the aisles. Very annoying. All this would take is a change in schedule to do night work over cabins to 11pm and 6am instead of 330am and 5am.
Cabin / Stateroom

Lovely room with good spacing and beds. BUT if the ship is rolling in weather, there is something in the wall at the bed heading that creaks and groans in the wall. One sink and the shower head leaks badly wasting water. Finally the lock on the balcony door is broken. All were noted by steward and butler several times to maintenance but never fixed. Beware if you have little kids. Again, probably trying to get their groove back post covid.
Ship tip
Bring an ethernet cord...and download a bunch off netflix or other...the wifi boxes are sparse so even if you buy streaming..its only 3 to 5 mbps, so you can't watch a show.
We were on the Dawn back in 2017 (the double hurricanes just demolished our itinerary… but it was a great ship and it sold us on NCL). Have booked a Mediterranean cruise on Epic for September and the new Prima for February of 2023. Glad you were able to enjoy your cruise
