Review summary

We are kind of disappointed with this cruise and don't think it is worth the money we paid for.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
The process was orderly in general

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
As I already wrote in a previous survey, we were forced to choose specialty restaurants at higher cost. Those restaurants should have made available to all without charging us additional fees. The main dining rooms and buffets are just okay compared to the 8 other cruises we have had so far.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We did not use any of facilities except my husband used the ping-pong table. But he wishes that the ping-pong table were put inside of the ship to avoid the strong wind.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the acrobat and magic shows, and some dances.

Children's Programs

No children in our group.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The service overall is pretty good.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship layout and design appear inconvenient. For example, the main dining room locates on Deck 6.5. We have to either walk up or walk down 0.5 stair in order to gain access to it. The common areas however are clean and well-maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It is very good. We are happy with that. The steward is also excellent.

Ship tip

Get rid of the imposed "perks" (e.g., specialty restaurants, internet package) as we paid for them. We could have done without them.

Ports of call

New York, New York

Port Canaveral, Florida

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

4 out of 5
No shade on the ferry boat. When it was about 90 degree outside, it is tough to stay on the upper deck of the boat.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
The person who works at the information center has "connection" with the tour company there. She ensures us that the tour company is of good quality. Yet, the tour company took us to three shopping sites and had only two stops for sightseeing (Paradise Island and the Queen's Staircase) during the entire tour.
