We've been on the Gem and Escape and enjoyed both. Wouldn't sail on Dawn again.

Main Dining were good but slow. If you had to catch a show you were out of luck. Buffet really was disappointing compared to Gem and Escape. Had same food, sometimes was cold or pancakes were hard. The coffee was a joke. Coffee and sugar were at one end of counter, then water /ice/juice/cups. Then milk and cream. This was like that at every coffee station. It was a mad house bumping into people just trying to make a cup of coffee.

Most of staff did pretty good job. had a nasty waitress at main dining room. My safe broke twice waited inside cabin for 1/2 hour.

Ship Quality

Ship was clean. My wife is a smoker and they were treated like second class citizens, i.e., cigar room had no ventilation was a big cloud. casino was always crowded so if you put a quarter in a machine you could smoke. The smoking area on Deck 7 had no chairs. the bar on Deck 13 had about 4-5 smoking tables and 2 feet away was non-smoking tables that would bitch. Also some of the same people hoarded smoking tables with their non-smoking friends all day every day that they had their own zip code. No coffee was ever served there. Had to walk and spill half of it from Buffet

Did pig swim. Was cool. The tender boats and getting off was a disaster. Had a small lady with little squeaky voice trying to get unruly passengers in order. Needed more bigger and louder mouths.

Had a bad experience in April and I agree with your review. I made it a good cruise but the ship problems and lack of concern by Norwegian during and post cruise has me switching to Celebrity
