The room was horrible. We were unneath the kitchen, banging from 4am to 12am. Being pregnant this was not idle.

Oh my!! That does sound miserable!! We do a bit of homework before booking and tell the cruise consultant (we've always booked right with NCL) the general area we'd like our stateroom to be. Only cabins above and below. We prefer to be just forward of the forward elevators because there not a lot of traffic, but it's still easy in and out. They've been really good about accommodating our preferences. If you're doing a Sail Away cabin, though, I understand you don't have a lot of choice. They're Sail Aways at a lower price because the locations are less desirable.

Yes, you definitely need to be aware of what is surrounding the cabin before booking. iif it was selected for you by NCL, that's just bad luck for booking a cheaper cabin category.

Did you have a sail away rate cabin? If you are picking your own cabin it is important to check what is above and below you. A room like you had would not be ideal for anyone. Hope you were able to enjoy Bermuda.

Did you select your own room? I always check deck plans and choose rooms in quiet locations.
