Review summary

The only issue we had was with the handicap bathroom doors. They are extremely dangerous swinging outwards into the path of passengers walking by. The timing of the doors closing did not allow for me to completely exit with my Mother in a wheelchair resulting in several times bruising my arm. The doors open & close with such force I fear someone could be seriously injured just walking by & having the door hit them in the face. A suggestion, if at all possible is to have the doors slide open & closed. Do not take this lightly. One evening while waiting in line for something, my sister in law & I were standing against a wall, & suddenly we were "shoved" forward. She leaned against the button not knowing it was to open the door, We were stunned. From then on whenever I had my Mother in the handicap bathroom, I held the edge of the door to look behind to insure the aisle was clear of anyone walking by.

Ship tip

Bring extra hangers, wire ones as not to add weight to the luggage and not take up much room in the closet. I realize I could've requested additional hangers but the wooden ones already took up room with hanging 2 to 3 items on 1 hanger.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda Did not visit port

We did not leave the ship as i was aware that with my Mother in a wheelchair, it would not be easy. We had no lack of things to do on the ship while in Port

Nice review. We'll be on the Dawn in just over two weeks and will watch for the handicap bathroom doors. I use a cane sometimes and could find myself in situation made for slap stick comedy or tabloid papers. "Elderly women in wheelchair KOs former USMC sergeant with bathroom door!" 😄 Maybe I'll just walk on the other side of the hall. Glad you had a great cruise!!
