Review summary

We had a large group which made it fun but I would say no matter how many times one of your friend suggests renting & riding mopeds, unless you have a death wish, don't do it! We survived on scooters from dockyard to St. George's but barely!!! Take the guy up on the 4-5 hour taxi ride instead. The cruise ship people will tell you many times emphatically to NOT rent scooters. We did have a fabulous time dancing and having well made drinks. Make sure to get a Lemon Drop, a Mango Meltdown, and a Bushwhacker drink. And the homemade guacamole at Mexican restaurant was great! Visit the Capitol Hamilton definitely! Check out the old Catholic church and climb the tower for $3.00 but know the 1st half of the climb is dark & extremely narrow. If you are claustrophobic I would not attempt it. Be sure to go to the jewelry store on the corner for beautiful pink sand jewelry. I think the name of the store is Alexandria. Oh and if you do nothing else, go to Horseshoe beach to see the cave and pink sand!!!

Overall, they did a good job of directing us and being organized. I liked that they employed several elderly, sweet women to assist.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The food overall was not very good w/the exception of the Mexican restaurant and O'Sheehans was good in comparison to the Venetian.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The fitness center was nice. The pool is very small. There weren't many other free activities. We opted to not pay for spa but it seemed nice if you want to spend extra $$$. Be aware too many of the presentations are trying to sell you something.

Service and Staff

Our steward Anna was amazing!!! All the stewards were friendly. There is a wonderful, hysterical "Washy Washy" man. In case you're unfamiliar each time you enter the dining area there is a person with disinfectant to spray on your hands, hence washy washy. The wait staff was hit or miss. The cruise director Luz was the best!

Ship Quality

It's an older ship that has been refurbished. It kind of had an "old casino" feel. Needs to be brightened up.

Ship tip

Don't buy jewelry on the ship unless you know actual value. My husband bought a watch with a sticker piece $1475.00 "marked down" to $250 the last day of cruise. However, once home discovered the actual value only $150.00!! But he loves it so I guess that's what is important. Also,if you're not a heavy drinker, the drink package is kind of a waste and I would steer clear of dining packages unless you know exact times you will be on boat & can make reservations.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

We walked most of the Freedom trail. I would highly recommend visiting Boston. We had never been and it was rich with history.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

It is a beautiful location. The water is crystal clear blue & if you like to shop, plenty of options. We ate at BoneFish grill twice. They have delicious fish tacos.
