Review summary

This was our second cruise to Bermuda and we love it there. The beaches are great and there is much to do and see. The weather was nice except for a downpour on Sunday. We got caught in it and got soaked but had fun despite the rain. Monday and Tuesday we had wonderful weather.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was very smooth and well organized.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was very good in the specialty restaurants, Garden Cafe, O'Sheeghan's Pub and the Bamboo Restaurant. We never ate dinner in the main dining room but breakfast was very good there.

Gatsby's Champagne Bar

4 out of 5

Service and entertainment were very good here.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We did Trivia which we like. Relaxing in the sun by the pool was the best. There was plenty to do on board.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were great. Entertainment was wonderful all over the ship.

Children's Programs

No children with us.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Service was very good on the ship. Everyone was friendly and room steward was excellent.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship is very well maintained and we love the Dawn.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was very clean, plenty of storage space for two people. Comfortable bed to sleep in. Cabin Steward, Edna, did an awesome job.

Ship tip

NCL Dawn is tricky to get around on but once you learn the layout it gets easier. The carpets in the corridors of cabin decks have fish on them which swim toward the front of the ship. Only the lonely red fish swim toward the back of the Ship. Helps you to go in the right direction.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
Boston is a beautiful City. Very easy to walk around the city or travel by train. Boston is my hometown.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
We went to the Crystal Caves and The Aquarium, Museum and Zoo in St. George's, on Monday, by Mini-Van. Very enjoyable excursion. Our driver was very knowledgeable and gave us a great tour on our drive to the caves and aquarium, then dropped us off in Hamilton where we had lunch at the Pickled Onion on their upstairs balcony. Very lovely day and we returned to King's Wharf by Ferry Boat. Tuesday was a Dolphin Encounter at Dolphin Quest which was fabulous. The Dolphins were so much fun and they are so smart, loved interacting with them.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy to disembark and everything went smoothly.

Thanks for the great review. We're doing that same cruise - only it will be our first time to Burmuda - in around 6 weeks!

Bermuda is gorgeous. We have been 3 times and are going again in October. We usually go in May but are trying something different. We still haven't seen everything.
