Review summary

The cruise was very relaxing, our party had lots of fun together. The ship is dated and in need of overall updating of event areas and equipment. The cruise staff were very friendly and attentive.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The Aqua, Venetian and Le Bistro dining rooms were Beautiful. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. However I ordered a glass of Cabernet sauvignon and at the very last sip I found the foil wrapper from the bottle rolled up at the bottom of the glass. I called over the maître d and he apologized and brought over a bottle of wine to make up for the wrapper. Then as I was finishing my dessert (Apple Pie) I found a hair across the middle of the plate. I called the maître d back over and showed him. I told him it was not a big issue for me but he should tell the kitchen to be more careful. He immediately removed the plate and went back of house to talk to someone and that was it. Overall we had very good service and food from all the restaurants and staff.

Ship Quality

The staterooms located below Kitchens or areas where staff work late into the night are poorly designed. I would understand if you told your guests there would be loud noises around these rooms when they booked them so that we could make an educated choice to keep the room or upgrade away from the noise.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our Headboard light was flashing. The spare pillow we used was completely water stained. Our Smoke detector went off because the shower door was open. Finally our stateroom was below the kitchens and all night long we heard noise above our heads. From tables being dragged across the floor to loud banging etc. We went to the front desk and they had the light fixed and our stateroom attendant Mo swapped out the dirty pillow. We were told there were no rooms to switch us to and that it was "Operational Noise and there was nothing that could be done" they would monitor it. I mentioned that the light on the smoke detector was still on and did not reset itself. The front desk staff told me it was supposed to be on, I work in the alarm industry and the light was not supposed to be on. It was still on later that day when we went back to our room. It finally went out sometime after that but I’m not sure. The noise coming from the above continued all week up until the night of departure. Also the shelf attached to the mirror was cracked and filled in with putty very poor repair job.
