Review summary

well, it didn't start off good at all-had no wheelchairs, which I needed one for Pam. They said she should have brought her own. When wanted one from room or whever we were on ship had to wait 1/2 hr not good. We had a room that was so far away from the elevator, by the time we got there wanted to go back to room. Now keep in mind no wheelchair. After 2 days Pam called to get different room right next to elevator which was great and bigger. Still, had to pack everything up to go to new room, it was a nightmare. These peopleor should I say some of them need to listen to passengers, they don,t. Hear what they want too. I fell on board waves were like14 feet going there. I slammed into the wall and fell. My arm looks like a huge tatoo how embarrasing in Bermuda with bathing suit on, and a huge tatoo which I would never get. I was so upset about this they didn't care. I needed a Drs. note to get $100 back for Pam, she booked an excursion and I couldn't go, wasn't feeling well. Needless went to Drs. saw nurse she couldn't give me a note to get money back, she saw my arm and couldn't believe it. Said I would have to fill out complaint, to some tests and check blood for alcohol. Please, I'm on a cruise, duh. So upset left office, needles to say Pam didn't get her $100 back. They were ********** about it, even spoke with supervisor, no can do without Drs. note, unbelievable. I gave Pam back her money, I felt soooo bad for her. They didn't care. Other than rudeness, the ship was absolutely beautiful, so was Bermuda. You had so much food which was great and entertanment was great, loved it.  Getting off was a nightmare too. Oh well. it's not your fault, I'm not blaming Vac Outlet at all, they need to listen to people. I don't usually bitch about things, that's not me, i'm a happy person. Well I have to say my true colors came out, so mad. I learned alot from the cruise, you can't always be nice to people, just a waste of time, doesn't pay that's for sure and I am agood person and basically I got screwed, royally. Trip woke me up, guess that's a good thing, lol.I know you won't want to use this review, but had to get this off my c

chest. Ya know I would go again, this was my 1st cruise, next time I'll know better. Have a good day. Michele

Oh, by the way they wouldn't let me take their survey I wasn;t truthful with them I guess, I don't lie. I respect people the way I want to be respected. I could go on, but won't ruin your day, lol okay?

From the area, it was great to get ship there and go to Bermuda rather than fly.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

The cruise Dawn was battling two hurricanes.... Wheelchairs are available on request from GSAM (reception). You can also get electric scooters but I think you need to book in advance.

Who are you taking to carrirth? And why would you assume something was directed at you or anyone in particular? However, I can see why it's a stretch to think it was possibly just a general comment.

Just curious, am I suppose to be insulted? Have I told you I'm a liberal? Do we know each other and I just forgot who you are?

I'm going to make cruising great again.

And here we go again...... a wheel chair, poor planning complaint has just become political. Ah the theme of society....you don't like bananas....well those 'Clinton' supporters are upset about the election......you're kid is going to Yale....... what about that election........ UGH

I have noticed a large group of people just like that on the news everyday since November 8th.....just say'n.

adam111 you forget some folks only know how to point fingers, pass blame, and whine like crybabys when they don't get their way. Teaching personal responsibility is a thing of the past. Narsiccistic, all about me, behavior is the new norm. Agree with me or you're a (insert phobia name) lol.

I'm disabled but not ready for wheelchair, mentally. They have handicapped specific rooms, and you can see on a map where the rooms are located. As far as wheelchairs if you go on NCL site you will see they can not promise wheelchairs but you can rent one and have it waiting for you. They are very transparent on what they can and can't do for you including which ports they can not accomodate

I am sorry that all of that happened but Norwegian is not to blame on any of your issues.... Wheelchair was supposed to be requested in advance, you choose the location of your cabin (or at least you were supposed to) so choosing one far from the elevator was your choice. Rough waters are tough but again not Norwegians' fault.... and of course you were upset about it but they didn't have to do anything about that... I am sorry..... At least I am glad you enjoyed Bermuda, because it is a beautiful island!!!

I have been on the Dawn many times. I had one rough crossing at this time of year. I think that's the chance you take. If you needed a wheel chair you should have looked into it before you left If you need one at home you should have brought it. I am sorry that you had a rough time.

My husband required wheelchair assistance before he purchased an electric wheelchair.  Wheelchair assistance and handicap rooms are something you should have inquired about when you booked your cruise.  The cruise lines we have sailed on over the past 10 years have ALWAYS been very accommodating.  My only complaint is that it's very difficult to get on and off at tender ports for my husband, so he generally elects to not disembark.  I would like to see a better way for handicap passengers to be able to disembark at tender ports.  Make sure to book early if you have special needs/requests.  They will meet your needs, if they know about them ahead of time.

I would absolutely blame vacation outlet. If you needed a wheelchair they should have helped you reserve on, or at least let you know it needed to be reserved in advance.

I'm pretty sure wheelchairs have to be arranged in advance. There are rental companies you can use. Your travel agent should have known that.

"lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part"...just say'n.
