Review summary
The best thing about this cruise was the food. Everything I ate was delicious and even the buffet food was tasty and fresh. I can't say much more on the positive side. I was very disappointed with the $7.95 room service charge. I think that one small pool for the entire ship is a huge problem. The crowds at and in the pool were overwhelming. With the exception of a very few, the staff looked miserable and like they were being put out. Smiles were very hard to come by with the crew! Sea days were excruciating! There was not a lounge chair to be found on the entire ship and we ended up spending most of the day in our stateroom (thank goodness for our balcony cabin)! We went on this cruise because of the convenience of the departure port but will never do it again. It's worth the cost of a flight to not travel on the Dawn again.

Ship tip
If you don't like crowds then this is not the ship for you. If you can afford it, stay in a suite category stateroom--this will give you the same space as other cruise line balcony staterooms.
