Review summary

First time cruising on the Norwegian Crown. Now I know what they do with older cruise ships. Someone mentioned that the ship had been refurbished but they could not figure out what they did when the refurbishment took place.

Freestyle cruising method of serving meals was great and so was the food.

Entertainment

Some of the comedy routines were a bit hackneyed in the evening shows. A lot of the day time activities on board were a disaster because no one wanted to participate.

Service and Staff

Sometimes they made me fell that I was disrupting their day if I had a request. Had a tough time with the reception desk over the phone due to the English language being a challenge to the non American staff. Mostly it was Pilipino.

Ship Quality

Ship had the old problem of soot on deck chairs and tables. A disaster for clothing.

Cabin / Stateroom

Nice sized room and actually had a bathroom that did not make you feel like you were in a closet.

Don't Miss: The glass factory. It used to be located near Grotto bay years ago. But it has since moved and is now run by the sister of the original owner. Great glass creations at a reasonable price.

St. George's, Bermuda

The three mile walk around the north end by tobacco bay was great. But few people were up to doing the walk.

Hog penny restaurant was a true English pub. Great service and overall atmosphere. Good true English fish & chips

Pros: The freestyle method of meals

Cons: If you were on board and had nothing to do when it was raining, there was no place to be able to sit and people watch within the ship itself.
