Review summary

We really enjoyed this cruise. We normally cruise Carnival and wanted to try something different. Loved the free drinks that was definitely a plus! Not that we are huge drinkers but it’s just nice to not have to worry about the cost. All the food was really good, except my husband preferred the desserts on Carnival more. Overall it was nice but next cruise we will be bringing the kids and I think Carnival is better suited for that.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
All the food was very good. We did miss having the set dining schedules from cruising on Carnival. We really missed interacting with the same staff every day and getting to know them.

Onboard Activities

We loved all the activities, entertainment and bingo!

Service and Staff

They always seemed overworked very busy...they didn’t seem to have time to interact with the guests. This is something that we missed from our cruises on Carnival

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

1 out of 5
Out of all the ports that I have ever been to, this is the one I like the least. We went to the Atlantis Resort and went around and looked at the Aquarium, it was so expensive. We found the port to be very dirty and we didn’t feel very safe. Most of the people we encountered were very rude which is odd because we have been to AI’s in Jamaica and the people were always so pleasant but we have never been to Nassau.

New York, New York

Always love visiting NYC. It never gets old.

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
We’ve been here before so we stayed in the ship and went to the spa!

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Meh. Wasn’t a huge fan of this private Island

Excited, we booked the Breakaway for our Honeymoon as a change from Carnival, and also got the free drink pkg. Also not big drinkers, but glad to know we can enjoy a glass of wine without checking our room balance first!
