Review summary

We’ve been back for 8 days and have had so much fun on our first cruise we are asking ourselves When can we go again!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Went thru and in the ship with in 30 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We are so much we could hardly move sometimes. The specialty restaurants are classy and are 3 course meals, the atmosphere is to slow down and enjoy the food and your company. If you want a rushed meal or don’t want a sit down meal don’t go. Cagney’s was really good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We didn’t actually participate in the activities but had so much fun watching them. Pool area was very crowded but that didn’t stop us from walking around and people watch. 😁

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Burn the Floor and Six were awesome! Syd’s Poor is a very small venue and I have a feeling this is where the poor ratings come from because there is never any room to sit to watch the bands. Switch was awesome, btw.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This is actually 4 1/2 stars as I feel like the bartenders in the atrium were kind of rude. We found our favorite bartender at Margaritaville (changing to American Grill) Melvin and would follow him to other bars he worked. Our favorite hang-out was Malting’s Whiskey bar-great atmosphere.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Staff were amazing trying to keep the ship clean- it would help if people could clean up after themselves and put garbage in the trash cans or not leave dishes in the elevator or on the stairs (plenty of table to leave these things on).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Bigger then expected-will never not have a cabin without a balcony.

Ship tip

You will not be able to do everything that you want to do, just enjoy yourself and remember any day on a ship is better then being at work.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Went to Chankannab Beach for snorkeling, which is harder then I though (my first time 👍🏻). The tequila tasting was so good, nxt time I buy some.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

4 out of 5
The port we docked at was kinda dicey, but we were able to get a taxi and get back in time for our excursion.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Love Grand Cayman! Didn’t want to leave, the water was so blue and warm, the dolphin swim and stingray excursion were so much fun. Wish we had longer at all ports!

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
Went to Kennedy Space Center - wow, it’s a lot to see.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We got off super early as we had an excursion.

On BA our fav restaurant was Moderno, followed closely by Cagney’s. We did the cirque dinner show a few yrs ago and while it was good, dinner portion was very small. Also tried Ocean Blue (hubby likes seafood, I do not) and while my steak was ok, his lobster was kind of dry (didn’t know this was a thing but he said it wasn’t that great). We’ve heard great things about Teppanyaki and plan to try it while on Encore in a few months, and have heard La Cucina compared to Olive Garden, which I am not a fan of so we never tried it. Also heard good things about Le Bistro but haven’t been there either.

Same question we ask ourselves

My favorite was Malting’s whisky bar, or Margaritaville. Favorite places to eat were Cagney’s and Savor. O’sheeahan’s was good too.
