Review summary

The first two days we had heavy Seas so they cancelled the NCL private island stop. This was one of the reasons we choose this cruise so we were bummed. One of the shows on the ship the was great was the dualing pianos and the night they had a violinist show up that was from Ireland and she played a couple of songs was was unbelievable. She was so good! All and all we had a great cruise and looking forward to our next one. Good job NCL!

Buffett was good, went for breakfast and lunch, had one dinner there and it was much better than I had expected.

Ocean Blue

4 out of 5

Ocean Blue was not as good as when we had it on others NCL ships when it first opened. Was not bad but nothing stood out.

We enjoyed Six show and a band called switch that played music form the 70’s and 80’s etc. they were great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room Stewart did not talk to us much but did his job in taking care of us. We had good service though out the ship and had a great cruise.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship is laid out typical for a NCL ship. The Breakaway cosmetically is showing her age. Some areas and things looked worn here and there. I was surprised since ship was just updated in 2018, I thought I had read.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Good cabin and found it to be a good location.

Ship tip

If you want a deck chair you need to go early.

Ports of call

Harvest Caye, Belize

Enjoyed the beach and then went in the pool, it is huge. Then we went on the Black Swan electric boat for a short boat ride. The ride was OK but the best part was the guide he was nice and taught us about his country and his daily commute to work and the local schools etc. also had lots of Rum punch.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Went to Gumbalimba park, I thought when we booked this that this would be just an OK thing to do. Boy was I wrong. This place was beautiful in the first place, took pics with Macaw Parrott’s and monkeys and went across a cable (rope type) bridge. We had a great time and good family excursion.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Went to Shaw Beach Break, spent the day. Had fun and Jerk chicken lunch.
