Review summary

A few bumps here & there especially at the beginning but overall a cruise is what you make it & what your expectations are. We’re ready to go again

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Slower process than typical for NCL. Always eager to get on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Specialty restaurants excellent. Especially Ocean Blue. Main dining room food was good as well

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Didn’t participate, but we were always able to find chairs on the pool deck.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Guitarist, Ronan very good. Pianist not so much. Saw Rock of Ages which I didn’t care for but perhaps that was more because of my age group.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Specialty staff & our cabin steward David were excellent. One rude server at Syd Norman’s bar. Service slow at main dining room one evening. Overall everyone was friendly & did there best. I believe there were a lot of new crew

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Very clean and well maintained throughout the ship

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin steward David kept our room very clean. Size was fine for the 2 of us. Balcony a bit tight but that has been a complaint on this ship since it was built

Ship tip

Deck 8 is a great place to enjoy peace & quiet if you’re looking for it

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

4 out of 5
Access to terminal not easy to get to. The taxi drivers have a lot of patience! Once in the terminal things were fine. We did come 2 days early to visit the city. Very friendly people, very good food.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Very chaotic but they’ve updated the port since we were there last.

Harvest Caye, Belize

5 out of 5
Really like Harvest Caye. One of the reasons we picked this itinerary

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Always an enjoyable port. Six ships at one time make things a bit crazy but just go with it

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

2 out of 5
Port area is new & nice but between the vendors & taxi drivers in your face we just went back on board

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick, smooth, well organized

How does the boarding and disembark work for Norwegian we are going this year and never been on ncl before just wondering what time we should be at the terminal leaving out of Boston.

A bad day cruising is still better than a good day at work!
