Review summary

The ship is big and there are a lot of people but you don't really feel that crowed. At least we did not. The Haven is amazing. If you can book it do it you will not be disappointed. Also when booking the Haven try to get a cabin on deck 16. Our room was right next to the door out to the pool. Walk 20 feet more you are in the lounge. Best deck is 16.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Loved all the food. Ate a few times in Haven Restaurant. Also La Cucina and Ocean Blue. Service was excellent. Never went to buffet or the main restaurant.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Ok we did the rope course so cool. Well my daughter id it I watched. we spent a lot of time at the Haven pool and Hot tubs and hit the sauna a few times too. Kids loved the camp and also participated in the show on the last afternoon of the cruise.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The only show we went to was howl at the moon. We saw it two times on the ship and it was fantastic. These guys were crazy talented going from the piano to drums and bass guitar. Loved the show. oh and fyi kids are welcome but the show get more adult from 11pm on. Also did the ice bar. That is a must do on the ship. It is really cold but amazing, lot of fun.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Although it took a while to get the two kids registered, when done the kids liked it a lot. The only did it one afternoon and two nights. On other cruises they would be in there almost every night but this cruise there is so much to do it is sometimes hard to fit it in. Also two night around 7pm when we did try to drop off the kids they were full. They told us to come back in an hour. Which we did and were able to get them in around 8pm They did not want to leave which is always a good sign.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
By far this staff was the best I have ever worked with. With being in the Haven we had our own two bartenders. Lester and Archi were fantastic and always had a warm welcome when we came in. Then the concierge's Patrick and Iris were wonderful. Always patent and welcoming with a warm smile. We had a bunch of questions about dinner because we were a group of 14 people and they were always helpful in finding us somewhere to go. They also helped make embarkation and disembarkation a breeze.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ok so most places were immaculate, there were a few glasses outside cabins. Not where we were but on deck 14 I saw a few. The design of the ship is quite good I thought. We were able to get around very well. But I must say if you need to go from the bow to the stern it does take a while. A lot of walking.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The best cabin ever. We had the 2 bedroom Haven suite and it was perfect. The kids had there own small bedroom with bunk beds and a full bath. The living/dinning room was very nice. The master bedroom was also nice, and the master bath was about the same size as the master bedroom. It was huge with so much storage apace I was in Heaven. The giant window in the show and by the tub are absolutely wonderful. It is like being in a ocean front high rise. The only concern I would have it the space on one size of the bed is quite small. Maybe 18 inches between the bed and the wall. But that is it.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

We did Disney. Which was fun but the ship was late in getting cleared by customs so we were late to Disney. What should have been about 5 hours turned out to be about 2 1/2. With that we still did 3 rides and shopping and got two balloons. The ride there and back was very comfortable.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas Did not visit port

Ok so we did not visit it this port due to weather. other people were mad but we just rolled with it, more money to spend on board I say.

Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau was ok. We went to the Hilton resort and brought a resort for the day ticket that included a food and drink credit (which was nice). spent some money in the straw market, and got some very nice stuff.

Disembarkation

OMG. This was the best part of the Haven. Well not the best but it is up there. Getting off the ship we were escorted and skipped the line to get off. Then when we got to customs we got someone from the pier to help us with our 20 bags and that allowed us to go to a special line for customs. We were in our van to go home 45 min after leaving our cabin. With that many people on the ship that is unheard of.
