Review summary

The Bermuda Cruise on the Norwegian Breakaway was a pleasant break, but I would not go on a ship of this size in the future. There were way too many people. It was like a noisy, overcrowded floating hotel. We had to wait to get into restaurants; services ranged from poor to excellent. The food was good, but not outstanding. The room was comfortable and the steward very good. Bermuda was interesting to see and I learned a great deal about the island, so it was educational, but I would not return. There are too many other places to see. If you like huge crowds, a jammed packed, noisy pool deck and standing in lines for meals and to get a drink this cruise is for you.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Some food was excellent; some was just okay, and at times some food was stone cold. It varied. It is a challenge to prepare mass quantities of food.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
It was pleasant. Some of the offerings were a bit cheesy, but I guess that is part of the cruising fun.

Service and Staff

This ranged from poor to excellent.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was fine. The steward was excellent.

Ship tip

If you like huge crowds, long lines to get into a restaurant or to get a drink at the bar, a crowded pool deck, this cruise is for you.

That's exactly what the OP said.  It is too large of a ship, noisy and crowded, and not for him/her.

We have sailed on BA five times and have never had any issues. If you go to eat during busy times you will have to wait if you haven't made reservations beforehand. Food has always been plentiful, usually never have room for dessert, and always a nice variety. You have to realize there are over 4200 passengers and it will be crowded and noisy. If that bothers you then maybe you need to try a smaller ship or stay home. I can't imagine going on those ships that hold over 5000+ passengers! You are on vacation so sit back and relax !
