I rather have more days in Bermuda than on the Breakaway.

Review summary

The ship itself is huge. The rooms were clean but I think there are too many rooms and not enough to do on the ship. Unless you had a reservation, sit down and premium restaurants were overcrowded with waits. The buffet would shut down a side every time which would overcrowd the side serving meals. The premium dining rooms such as Cagneys, Moderno Churrascaria, and  Teppanyaki Restaurant were excellent. I highly recommend them. There was an awesome rope course but it was only open at certain times (even on nice days) which lead to overcrowding. They did have an "Escape Room" which wasn't a room but it was still entertaining. We were unable to make a Spa appointment on day 2. Probably the only saving grace on this ship was beverage package the Maltings Bar. The staff there was excellent and remembered who I was from day one. The only reason I'm giving this review a good is because I enjoyed Bermuda so much. So if you want to go to Bermuda and don't mind being bored at sea then this cruise is for you.

Few little games. Tons of non entertaining meetings about your back what you should do about it.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Aside from the Maltings Bar staff, I had some issues with staff at meals which lead to long wait times for food and drinks.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

My room steward was good with making the bed and our request for more towels. The last two nights we did not receive a day planner or towel animal.

Ship tip

Maltings Bar is the bar you want to go to that is never overcrowded. The buffet is better than waiting to be seated or eat at the Manhattan Room, Taste or Savor.

Escape room is def really hard! Tip for anyone in Haven: call pre-concierge number and let them know you want reservations to Escape Room. I mentioned it in passing when I called them, and once on board I stopped at the concierge desk to have them book it for me. Was told that since the number of slots is VERY limited, they cannot book (even though it's Haven). Then he looked under my room info and saw that someone from pre-concierge had actually booked it for me! I did have to be accommodating as far as Day and time but made it work without a problem. Also, it apparently fills up FAST, so if you hope to do it book it as soon as you board. We went on a Tues at I think 1 pm and I heard the lady tell someone it was booked solid all week. They do let ppl hang out on standby in case ppl don't show and they release the slots like 15-20 mins before show starts. There's only like 80 ppl per time and it's only available a few times throughout the week.

Reservations for the Escape Room are done by visiting the Box Office once on board. It's not something you can book prior or using iConcierge.

Yes. It's something new. I'm not sure exactly when it started, but a friend was on this ship in March and tried it out. He enjoyed it, but said it was hard.

We were on this ship in September and already have our next 2 booked. We were never bored, but we did plan our days out ahead of time and knew what we wanted to do. We didn't even have time to do all of the things we wanted to. There were lots of things to do on the ship that didn't cost money.

So making reservations and planning would've made this a better experience?😊

was there a fee for the 'Escape' room? we are sailing in August and want to be sure to plan our day (a little planning anyway....lol)
