Review summary

Yes I would recommend  this cruise line and the ship to many people.  The crew was very willing to help.

They repaired our suitcase that was broken when placed on the ship by the dock workers.

It would be nice for first time travelers with NCL that they work have an meeting to explain how things work.  For example: the TV in your room, info you use to book dinner, shows.  We did not know the shows were limited seating.  We did not know we could go to the Garden Cafe for lunch when we came on the Ship.

Vuk Malobabic Hotel director is hands on. You will see him on and about the ship and is willing to help in any way he can.  He is right out there with his staff.  Our stateroom was beautiful and clean.  NCL customer service has a very good staff.

Debarkation is one that needs help.  I like the free style, but they seem to only have one way off.  4500 people can not get off the ship timely.  It is a long process.

Has anyone had a bad experience with DI. They a poor customer service team. They write nice emails but they take a long time to do anything about the money they over charged you.

unfortunately...... NCL has to get 4500 people off a ship to a terminal they didn't design or have operational control over..... not to mention that US Customs can man as little or as many agents to process these 4500 people which is typically the reason for the backups and delays.

You bring up valid points. My only suggestion is look online before your cruise and see what is available to book ahead of time. Also you can call the reservations dept. and order eggcrate mattresses, extra pillows, fridge if you do not have one and bench for your shower. As for lunch now you know. Every cruise line has a buffet open for lunch the day of embarkation.
