Review summary
I would like to regretfully say that this was the worse experience of my life on this cruise ship. The officers and staff are not at all guest friendly. They walk around the ship like Runway models without even greeting the guest or even to ask "how are you doing today"? The guest services staff who answered the phone were not polite. I called several times to ask a simple question and their tone of voice was more like " yeah what do you want" very disrespectful on their part. Garden cafe buffet was not heated to it's right temperature. Food was awful and tasteless. Some of the waiters and cleaners were angry and had bad attitudes. The steward who cleaned my room was very annoying and walked into my room without knocking on more than one occasion. I was not at all treated with respect on this trip and felt as though I was a victim of constant disrespect. I tried to complain about what I disliked and was dismissed as if I was garbage. Very emotional on my part to know that I planned this trip to celebrate my birthday with my loved ones and we were all insulted and mistreated. I traveled with the NCL Breakaway in the past and have never experienced this type of ordeal to say the least. We docked in Bermuda for a few days which was a wonderful experience. The people of Bermuda were very polite and people friendly. We felt welcomed unlike the Breakaway staff. It is sad to say what we had to go through for a whole week. We could not wait to get off the ship. We were so distraught especially myself that it reached a point where I got so sick and could not eat. I had headaches everyday. I felt mentally and emotionally drained. The CEO and social media will hear about this. Very unfair to me on my special day..my birthday which turned out to be a nightmare.
I would like to end by saying that I have the upmost respect for the Captain because he approached me and said how are you doing? He was the only one that showed appreciation to a guest as myself. The rest of the staff have to be properly trained to be guest friendly and not passive. Guest are NOT GARBAGE and should be treated fairly. The staff members need to put themselves in our shoes to know how it feels. We work hard and want to enjoy our lively hood not go through nonsense from staff members on a cruise ship. Something must be done about this. I am still in an emotional state and this will go in my record book forever the bad treatment I received on my BIRTHDAY NEVER AGAIN!
