Review summary

My husband and I chose this trip due to the convenience of leaving out of NYC. We enjoyed leaving out of the city. We had a perfect day when we left and got to enjoy the view of the city and Statue of Liberty!

We had a balcony which I recommend for any cruise. Loved the views and when we pulled into Port Canaveral there were dolphins swimming everywhere!  So cool!

Food was delicious on this trip. We had specialty dining and tried La Cucina, The Brazilian steakhouse and Teppanaki. All very good.

If you get seasick, do bring stuff for it. On one of the days on the way back, my husband and myself didn't feel too well with seasickness. One of the crew members mentioned to us that the ship gets really rocky on the way back to NYC. I wish I had known as I would have taken better precautions for it. (Just Dramamine wasn't enough for me but worked for my husband)

Crew was friendly and our stateroom was always clean. This whole ship was clean!

Overall a great trip with really great entertainment too!  You won't be bored!

If you're used to RCCL, you'll miss the open promenade. Otherwise this ship is great! Loved the waterfront

Cocoa beach was very nice. Getting off the ship is tough because everyone is trying to get to different tour groups/buses etc. This isn't a port that you can get off and walk around. You will need transportation to get around.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Beautiful island! Reserve your tender early. It takes awhile to get onto the island due to tendering

We were on Breakaway Feb 2015 and had 60 mph winds and 18-20 foot waves! It was quite interesting to see people getting around. One nice thing is the crowds arent too bad because people stay in their cabin. But yes we have heard green apples and crackers work best for seasickness. Luckily we have no issues with it.

What do you recommend for sea sickness? I'm worried about that and not sure what to get?

green apples are a seasick remedy that crew members swear by.
