another stay on the Breakaway -

Sail Date: September 18, 2016

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

Cabin: #11659

the wait staff are a cut above Carnival; a server recognized me from last october.

we have been on the Breakaway for the 3rd time, in 3 years, to Bermuda. convenient N.Y.C. port plus easy parking next to the ship. $$$$

the food has surprisingly improved through the last 15 years

of our experience with NCL.

all the shows are repeats from last year, no big loss, because we have seen them on our first two cruses with this ship.

One Complainant - left a Gold & Aquamarine Ring in #11659 (cabin steward "harlee") reported same next day to NCL with No Reply !!!

Cabin / Stateroom
we did leave an extra tip, "harlee" was a personable attendant, always ready with a smile and hello.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
its easy, just don't try to be the first one off the boat !
the ferries & local busses will never be able to handle 3500+ people in a short period of time.
Ship Quality
the carpet, under the bed, may not have been vacuumed since our last sailing - too be fair -
the turn around time for room cleaning, early sunday morning, is a hectic one.
very nice sleep, supportive mattress, great pillows and a wonderful shower.
Destinations and Excursions
Onboard Activities
getting old for rock climbing and water slides -
we miss tea time with chamber music and seminars as with Holland America & Cunard.
Children's Programs n/a
Service and Staff
Nadia, a server in restaurant "taste" remembered me from my last cruse on the ship, a year earlier - WOW - some memory !
i hand out tips to those that do not regularly receive them as well - remember the guy who polishes the brass rails on the stairs. wells .
Food and Dining
i may have had some form of shrimp every day but no lobster.
New York, New York
convenient ride from Connecticut and the tri state area. highway and streets are easily negotiated to access the pier.

book your "on board shows" before you board the ship !
