Review summary

To me the best thing this cruise has going for it was the Shows, and quility of the entertainment staff.  That alone would get my recommendation.  The food was above average, and they had plenty to do onboard.

Minus is the nickle and diming that NCL is doing.  I had dinner and drinking packages and still had extra charges galore for who knows what.  Id rather prepay this type of stuff, and its not really offered.

Pay all service charges up front and there are no othe charges unless you make them.

What are daily service charges?

clferr    8 years ago

Im guessing they are referring to daily service charges.

I'm also interested in knowing what those extra charges were

Wife and I were on the breakaway 2weeks ago had had the drink and dining package and prepaid gratuities had no extra charges

ALL cruise lines nickle and dime. It's a business and they want to make money. Everything can't be free or your cruise would cost double. We never feel pressured to buy anything we don't want. Next cruise is on the Breakaway 10/1/2017 366 days and it feels like an eternity 😬

I had the beverage package on the Gem in August and there wasn't any extended fees except if you wanted premium flavored vodka and some top shop alcohol. I got Grey Goose Vodka which is considered premium and they didn't charge me extra. Tips are included in your prepaid fees, however, we had a great bartender in the dining room and waiter by the pool so by our choice we tip them a little extra

Shouldn't be anything unless they purchased something.

Can I ask what you got charged for? We have the beverage package and prepaid gratuities, just wondering how much extra I'll be looking at.
