Review summary

The ship is way too crowed for the amount of time you spend on board. The pool area is not very well laid out. Why does it take two and a half days to get there and one and a half to get back? More time on land would be better. The food we experienced was fair at best. I would not take this cruise again.

The port of call is paid by you and the cruise line so the take long at sea (no pay for port) they save 1 day no pay . only pay 3 days at land that it

I love just being on the ship...I like being at sea longer...

If you spent more time in bermuda you may as well just fly there ,i prefer the longer cruises which go to different ports

actually it all depends on the port you're visiting and the ability to handle # of ships, cost to stay in port, passenger strain on ports infrastructure, etc.... NCL is not the only cruise line visiting ports and it is a well orchestrated machine looking at schedules, finances, marinas, seasons, etc Also, there is a huge number of passengers that enjoy sea days and being in port is just as depressing as it is for people on sea days. Great thing about cruising is to sample the local port...... you like it then next vacation fly there and spend more land time.

I had posed this same question on my cruise August 2015 --I was informed by a crew member the longer ride -going is to give you the cruise experience --I believe it's to get all your money before you get off in Bermuda -& it's faster coming back because they know you're broke by then -lol

Lol it all downhill anyhow

No at all 🙄

You are correct but the Labrador Current is cold water coming from the North Atlantic and wedges between the continental US and the Gulf Stream thus forcing it East.... You do also recognize sarcasm correct??

weglinger    8 years ago

I remember the Gulf Stream flows to north.

cpmackey28: very similar to when flying cross country in the US..... East to West travel always takes a little longer because you are flying into a head wind. When cruising, heading South is faster because we all know water runs down hill. Heading North you are going against the current which can add more time.

Totally agree 25 time plus cruiser, several on ncl that we enjoyed very much. Food was cheap buffet quality. Staff mostly very good. As to travel time you get a certain time in port, nothing to do with how long cruise is.
