Review summary

Would definitely recommend this ship for families.  Huge choice of activities and the crew create a welcoming atmosphere.  If you don't like to be around a lot of children, you may prefer other cruise lines which do not offer the same facilities as the large Norwegian ships.  Enjoyed many of the activities in the Atrium - a great focal point of the ship, the giant screen there is awesome.  Adult swimming pool is totally inadequate for the number of passengers.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dined at almost all the specialty restaurants and experienced excellent service from friendly staff.

Onboard Activities

Great entertainment crew! Disappointed that there were no Zumba sessions because, although the instructor was ready, the sessions were not advertised in the Freestyle Daily that week!!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
"Rock of Ages" totally inappropriate for children of any age, the sound volume was painful, story line silly, repetitive, x-rated. Very disappointed. "Burn the Floor", however, was one of the best shows I have seen on my 25 cruises. Fabulous!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I agree that the pool is much too small for the size of ship. Liked the carpet throughout the main decks with restaurants (6/8).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Small balcony. End of pull-out couch was blocking proper access to closet in stateroom. Room was spotlessly clean, liked the design of the cupboard doors. Nice tv and good reception. Great lighting. Overall - a good stateroom.

Ship tip

A ship intended for families. (But don't take children to Rock of Ages!!) Attentive crew. Lots of fun. Personable Cruise Director - he was often visible throughout the ship and interacted with passengers - a definite "plus".
