Review summary

I was a little bit nervous booking a cruise on this mega-ship, but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overwhelming at all.  It honestly felt no different than any other ship I have traveled on.  NCL provided enough additional restaurants and entertainment to keep everyone happy.  We typically stay in a balcony room, but found the inside cabin on this ship to be quite comfortable, with plenty of storage space.  Bermuda was an amazing itinerary and we had a fantastic time.  The only minor complaint we had was that we felt the main dining room food was a bit lackluster at times.  We felt that NCL was trying to promote the specialty restaurants by making the food included in the price of the cruise, just so so.  There was barely any seafood in the main dining room, but they advertised how great the seafood was at the Ocean restaurant.  It was a bummer.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

Just got off the getaway. The food at the ocean blue restaurant was terrible and I would've enjoyed red lobster better for half the price!

I can understand how passengers may think that a cruise line would offer so so food in the MDR to get them to visit specialty restaurants.  I really think that this would backfire as passengers would not return.  I have always been satisfied with food in the MDR on all cruise lines. i always ask the server for his recommendations before I order.     Food in the specialty restaurants are superior as is the service but I rarely dine in them unless our TA gives it to us as a perk.
